Translated from Hindi, Rajasthan means ‘the land of kings’, and its capital, Jaipur, is defined by royalty. The 18th-century Maharaja Jai Singh designed the city to meet his every whim and even today, Jaipur has retained its flair and prolific royal architecture. Aside from the monuments, there is much to be discovered in the many local markets and bazaars where you will meet local artisans, traders and shopkeepers who keep the city ticking and alive.
JAIPUR history, palaces, magnificent forts, and great food make this a popular stop for any traveler

This morning enjoy a full day tour of the other important sights of the city.
Start after breakfast and drive first to Hawa Mahal, the iconic monument of the city. This is a photo stop.
Continue your drive to Amber Fort.
The weather-beaten façade of the nearly 420-year old Amer Fort belies the elegant beauty of its majestic interiors. Some of the most spectacular structures of the fort are ‘Diwan-i-Aam’ (hall of public audience), ‘Sheesh Mahal’ (glass palace), and ‘Sukh Mahal’ (pleasure palace).
After Amber Fort, return back to the city for a tour of Jantar Mantar. It’s the world’s largest observatory carved in stone and marble. Many of the huge ancient instruments here are still in working condition.
Also on the itinerary is a visit to the Maharaja’s City Palace.
Built on the orders of Sawai Jai Sigh II, the City Palace is a blend of Mughal, Rajput and European architectural styles as it was built in parts by different succeeding rulers. The Chandra Mahal (Moon Palace) here has been turned into a museum and has lots of interesting exhibits.
Finally, take a stroll through the many markets of the city.
Head to Chaura Rasta, known for branded showrooms and antique bookstores. Continue through the famous Bapu bazaar, which features Mojri footwear, soft-leather items, multi-colored block printed fabrics from Jaipur, and more. Next up, the Johri bazaar, which has Jaipuri quilts, colorful turbans, and traditional Kundan jewelry.
The evening is at leisure.
